Close up shot of Breanna Owen, Licensed and Certified Mental Health Counselor leaning against a tree.

Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. My name is Breanna Owen, a licensed mental health counselor in Bellingham, Washington. I am passionate about supporting college-aged young adults ages 17 and older navigate challenges that come along with the transition to and through adulthood. Some common issues among this age group include anxiety, depression, self-esteem and self-image, unresolved trauma, life transitions, relationship problems, and more. My first placement out of graduate school was centered on providing therapy to this age group, and I found the work to be so impactful and meaningful that I knew this would be an area of focus for me throughout my career. My focus is on building meaningful connections with my clients and exploring insights into their current life-circumstances so that they may step into their authentic selves and feel confident, centered, and grounded.

If you’re curious to know a bit more about me…

I graduated in 2020 from Western Washington University where I earned my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate degree, and I have been providing counseling and therapy to members of our community since my practicum placement in 2019. I also have my 200-hour yoga teacher certification and am working towards certification in Lifespan Integration therapy. I enjoy going for nature walks, exploring the local beaches of Whatcom County, paddle boarding, practicing yoga, reading a good book, and spending time with friends and family (including my cat, Cleo).
